My firm does things really differently than most other CPA firms.
We work exclusively with small businesses and their owners. This allows us to have a deep knowledge of the specialized tax, accounting, and technological needs of growing companies.
Every business has its particular threats and opportunities, and every owner has her unique strengths and weaknesses. Cookie-cutter tax and accounting solutions generally don’t work for everyone. The right solution for your business will always be personal — a combination of strategies based on your industry, work demands, habits, and preferences.
And that’s what we work together to figure out, right from the start.
After you contact us, we’ll send you a short questionnaire to learn more about your business and its goals. We’ll schedule a Skype session or phone call to see if we’d be a good fit. We’ll develop an action plan, determine responsibilities and establish timelines, after which I’ll send a proposal for working together.
Other Important Things
My firm is entirely virtual — which is cool, because then you don’t have to live in Asheville, NC to be our client.
We don’t have an office.
We use DropBox, Evernote, and Google Drive for file-sharing.
We communicate almost entirely by e-mail.
We use Xero Accounting Software only — not QuickBooks, Freshbooks, Wave, or anything else.
A Word About Pricing
Most accountants are too expensive and inefficient, but we’re adamantly opposed to the “billable hour.” We believe it puts us at odds with one another: you’re afraid to ask us something because you don’t want to be billed, and we’re inclined to bill more time to make more money.
Instead, a fixed monthly price for tax & accounting services keeps it simple and establishes an ongoing relationship between us. You know exactly how much you’ll pay each month, and what you’re getting for that payment — which includes ongoing advice and support.
